Golden Hour Desert Family Session in North Phoenix

Golden Hour Desert Family Session in North Phoenix

We love the way the sun lights up the desert landscape. It makes everything glow with golden light that makes our photographer hearts sing for joy! It's even more awesome when we get to do a beautiful desert landscape family photography session in that gorgeous golden light! When I showed this Mama her photos she said, "I wish we could all walk around with the desert glow on us all day!" AMEN! We were so inspired by Mom and Dad and their love for each other. We got to have a few giggles with their littlest lady...she was such a crack up. She kept us all laughing with her all her silly faces! Their oldest was an absolute doll. She was absolutely fabulous in her adorable fluffy pink vest and definitely knew how to strike a pose! We even caught some sister sass on camera too!

Family photography is so important because families are what keep us connected. This special family was so beautiful inside and out and we were honored to be able to photograph that beauty and capture it on camera. They were so relaxed, easy going, and seriously made our jobs one thousand times easier! Thank you Messner family! You guys were such a joy and delight to photograph and we can't wait to do it again soon!

Americana Desert Family Photography Session in North Phoenix, Arizona

Americana Desert Family Photography Session in North Phoenix, Arizona

This is the Lewis Family. We were so blessed to be able to photograph this beautiful family for their Fall Family Photography Experience last year, so we were pretty stoked when they contacted us again this year! Their Phoenix desert photo session was full of golden light, color, and chollas (it wouldn't be a desert shoot without a few cholla spines in your shoe now would it?!)

Their girls are...well, how can we say adorable and gorgeous at the same time? Adorgeous? Gorgeousable? Either way, these three little ladies sure are it. They were all so funny and they each had their own perfect personalities! They totally had the "posing" thing down of course...I mean girls this gorgeous are probably born with the innate ability to just pose and be cute all the time, right??

Mom and Dad were absolutely awesome as well! Mom did such an amazing job dressing the whole family with the perfect blend of solid colors and prints. They were going for a subtle Americana look, and they obviously nailed it with those touches of denim, paisley headbands, vintage floral prints, and ALL those beautiful boots! Yeehaw! (Too much? Sorry...we kinda love boots).

We had so much fun hanging out with the Lewis family out in the sun-soaked desert landscape of Phoenix for their Family Photography Experience! It's families like theirs that really make this job worth every moment! Thank you Lewis Family!

Halloween 2016 Recap!

Halloween 2016 Recap!

Well we survived another year of an insane amount of energy, and a sugar rush that would put Willy Wonka to shame...all in the name of free candy and memories. This year we had Super Mario, a Cowgirl, and Bumblebee the Transformer!  Eli wins for funniest costume (which was a tad too small, #momfail...we just can't seem to get him to stop growing!), Olivia wins for cheapest and cutest (naturally), and Titus wins for being the coolest (he loved those muscles, if you can't tell). We took the kids over to their friends' house and enjoyed walking around with a dinosaur (T-Rex more specifically...we asked), Luke Skywalker (from episode 4...according to Eli this was an important disctinction), a Pirate Fairy, a police man and Spider man. Even some of the adults jumped in, with an appearance from Rey from Star Wars, and ANOTHER Luke Skywalker (albeit from episode 6), and even a little BB-8! We were quite the crew and had so much fun!

We got to relive our own memories of walking around neighborhoods, clutching pillow cases, and getting way too much candy! There were so many people out and about it really was a fantastic time, and we drove away thinking "Now that's what Halloween is SUPPOSED to be like!" We got to hang out with good friends, family, and a bunch of other weirdos in costumes just for fun! The only bad part of the night was getting locked out and someone (who will remain nameless) had to show off their Crossfit skills and bust down a door. Never fear though, that same individual also has some crazy good handy man skills and fixed the door in less than an hour.

We hope everyone else had a fantastically fun and safe Halloween like we did! We also decided that, because we had so much fun this year, we might just have to dress up ourselves next year! If you have any suggestions, let us know!
